The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and ACT, but it's more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships. More than 3.4 million high school students (mostly junior and sophomores) take this nationwide, multiple-choice test every year.

 The PSAT will be given at Randall K. Cooper High School on Tuesday morning, October 27, 2026. The cost is $22.00 if you register before September 22, 2026. Registration closes at 11:59pm on September 30, 2026.  

Payments not received by 11:59pm, September 22, 2026 will incur a $15 late fee per registration.

Registrations that are not paid by 11:59pm September 30, 2026 will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered. 

Students wishing to take the PSAT with accommodations must register by September 4th at 11:59pm in order to ensure accommodation processing time.
