The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and ACT, but it's more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships. More than 3.4 million high school students (mostly junior and sophomores) take this nationwide, multiple-choice test every year.
The PSAT will be given at Randall K. Cooper High School on Monday, October 27th 2025. The cost is $20 if you register before 2pm on October 10th 2025. Registration closes Friday, October 17th 2025.
Payments not received by 2pm October 10th will incur a $5 late fee per registration.
Registrations that are not paid by Friday, October 17th 2025 will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.
Students wishing to take the PSAT with accommodations must register by Friday, October 3rd in order to ensure accommodation processing time.
