The Freshman Mentor Program (FMP) is a comprehensive transition program that consists of current junior and senior students who are well-rounded and active in school and/or their community that serve as mentors and role models to the incoming freshmen. The FMP program provides each freshman with a support group that consists of FMP Student Mentors and two faculty advisors.  Student Mentors are "trusted guides" to freshmen.  They provide an ongoing orientation process that enables freshmen to become familiar with policies, procedures, programs, and traditions at Cooper in addition to having a support system that helps acclimate them to high school life in general. Students can apply to become Student Mentors in March of their sophomore or junior year.
